本書簡介：


魏晉年間，文人稽康(字叔夜)，因不滿司馬氏集團統治而隱居不仕。曾與隱身不問世事的山濤等六人友善，遊於竹林，世稱「竹林七賢」。山濤字巨源，後出山為官，欲舉薦稽康出仕。與司馬氏集團勢不兩立的稽康便寫下一封書信而與之絕交。這一書信便是著名的「稽叔夜與山巨源絕交書」，後被昭明太子蕭統收入「昭明文選」。


趙孟頫曾多次書寫這篇文章，除刻入「三希堂法帖」中的三件外，還有一件為延祐六年(1319)其六十六歲時在綠絹上寫下的墨蹟。這卷墨蹟楷、行、草、章草間雜，渾然一體，而韵度蒼老，是趙孟頫晚年精品力作。
